About
Cynthia Jo Smith had a long and difficult journey before starting her own business. After being homeless and struggling with drug addiction, Cynthia gained a new perspective on life and with the help of the Anne Douglas Center, she completely turned her life around. Her new found faith in God, enabled her to see that every experience be it good or bad has lessons to learn from. In 2017, Cynthia was accepted into the Microenterprise Program and created Joy Be Jeweled, a business that makes artisan jewelry from repurposed materials. With every piece of jewelry purchased , a percentage of all her proceeds will go to the Anne Douglas Student Fund. Joy Be Jeweled: Jewelry for your journey.
